Users of the renowned communication tool Discord were taken aback today when they were greeted with an alarming message: “Sorry, you have been blocked.”

This interruption has been observed by both app and website users. Buzz about this disruption has rapidly spread across social platforms, with Twitter and Reddit flooded with posts about it within the last hour.

Downdetector, a real-time problem and outage monitoring website, recorded a significant surge in Discord-related complaints. According to their data, the issues emerged approximately two hours ago.

According to Discord’s own status page, their technical team is currently probing an unusual increase in API errors, indicating the problem is still under review.

Moreover, Discord’s official Twitter support channel has broadcasted that they are cognizant of the issue and are actively looking into it. However, they didn’t divulge any further specifics.

There’s speculation among some users attributing this disturbance to a planned maintenance by Cloudflare. This alleged maintenance seems to have impacted not only Discord but several other online services as well.

In a reassuring turn of events, several Discord users have since reported that they’ve regained access to their accounts. This disruption doesn’t seem to be a result of any policy violation but rather a technical glitch that’s in the process of being rectified.

For those still grappling with access issues, the best advice is to stay patient and await the resolution of the prevailing problems.
